Seminars, conferences and workshops on topics related to second language acquisition/ learning, teaching methodology, development of teacher/ learner strategies, etc. are regular features of the academic life of the Institute. These programmes provide opportunities to the staff members of the Institute to share their views with experts from other institutions.

National conferences of great importance on subjects of evaluation and deteriorating standards in English were held in the past and a number of standard papers were presented by the distinguished ELT experts. The reports of these conferences were later brought out by the Institute.
